"I'm here for the adventure!"

And with these profound words begins one of the most incredible experiences in my 20year career as a human.

After a scramble around Cape Town getting together the essentials such as lumo paint and liquor on the morning of registration leaving things to theee last minute as we Motswana's do best, we set off for Weltevreeden foaming at the mouth with excitement and an uncontrollably large cheesy from ear to ear.

Nerves were high as we entered the registration location and so naturally a drink was needed to calm us. A few sachet's of 50c Malawi 'rum' later we were ready to meet and greet. Poppie's 'peace pipe' (no mom and dad it's not drugs) served as a great friend maker and soon we were mingling and meeting some very interesting characters that we would be spending the following 18 days with.

At the check in desk our team name ''Bundu Bashers' was mispronounced as 'Bush bangers' - just our luck, the name stuck.
