Let the journey begin!

Day two began far too early and cold for my liking - a procedure that I have now come to terms with considering it has to be done in order to actually achieve anything in the day, and the bitching and moaning is slowly decreasing from 'dammit man f'*ck it's cold where the f*ck is the sun?!' to just a young grunt/moan and checking of whether fingers, toes and noses are still attached to the body.

We headed into Khayaletsia for the first of three shoe drops and in true Bundu Basher style we managed to lose the rest of the convoy and spent the better half of an hour trying to relocate them. Eventually after a grand tour of the inner workings of the township we came right and the shoe drop kicked off. 800 and something children later hands were klunking of feet but spirits were high and it was time to go devour some pap and nyma (and quartz's) at Mzoli's.

Clanwilliam bound! Until the 574 (basically) road blocks made what was supposed to be a young drive into a whole day's excursion . After about the 50th one restless me was more than happy to take up Rox's challenge of running up and down the road to the other Put Footers, which became an even better idea when I came across the Norwegian's who fed me champagne and beers - I knew I'd found some keepers!

Eeeeeventually Clanwilliam was on the horizon. And then it disappeared again taking the sun with it and we were left to find our elusive accommodation for the night in the dark - in the middle of absolutely nowhere no exaggeration this time. There was even a period of heavy doubting whether this place actually existed even because the GPS had no idea about the place, the directions we were given were horrendously wrong and the contact number didn't work :/. Glory glory hallelujah! we finally found the place, unpacked the car, made some kos and then collapsed onto our cardboard beds in the minus 200 degree cold.
